The Barber Shop was Proud to have been nominated for an award at the 2025 HBA's, The Hair and Beauty Awards are the biggest industry awards in the UK, and in the later part of 2025 Bryan was named as a finalist in the Barber of the year category. The final was a black tie gala event at the ICC in Birmingham where the brightest and the best of our industry joined famous faces for a night of great food entertainment and obviously awards. Thousands of entrants take part in the HBA's so to be a finalist is a great achievement on its own, and to be officially recognised as one of the top 100 Barbers in The UK, We couldn't be prouder and grateful for the industry recognition for all the hard work and dedication we put in as a team. Thank you to all our amazing customers who without them we wouldn't be doing what we love, 57 years and counting The Barber Shop has been doing what it does best and being so much more than just a place to get a trim, That decades of success is down to each and every one of our barber shop family of clients who trust us time and time again. Bryan and his Team Donna & Jack Thank everyone for making it happen and will continue the great name of the Barber Shop, Sandy Lane.
Meet The Team
Bryan (Owner/Barber)
Bryan is our Owner/Director He Has been at the Barber shop for 12 years and Loved every moment of it, Helping to build and maintain the reputation gained from a shop boasting over 60 years on Sandy lane, He’s Fully Qualified in Barbering and advanced barbering, Having great passion for the industry and getting the best out of his team, always mentoring and developing them to ensure consistency for our clients who he describes as a second family, He finds teaching and giving opportunities to new barbers most rewarding, watching them develop and become great barbers in there own right gives him great pride.
Donna (Barber)
Donna is our part time team member, her hours are pretty varied week to week, She has been with us for 5 years and was a qualified ladies hairdresser and made the move into barbering, she’s an energetic member of the barber shop family who is qualified in barbering and ladies hairdressing she loves doing perms and having a good laugh with our customers,
Jack (Barber)
Jack is the newest member of our team, he Joined us in 2024 after qualifying in barbering earlier that year from West Lancashire college and has been a customer here for many years. He spent many appointment talking with Bryan whilst getting a trim about starting in the industry and was eventually offered employment here as a new barber, Following his first years of training and development, Jack is going from strength to strength and Has taken every step seriously to ensure a long and successful career.
